Corrections

Corrections protect the trust layer.

AHP treats product origin claims, source evidence, and affiliate links as records that can drift and need review.

What can be corrected

AHP may correct product summaries, verification status, source records, guide language, affiliate link status, availability text, or outdated category content.

Correction triggers

A correction should be opened when a source URL changes, a product line moves production, a retailer claim conflicts with brand evidence, a public page overstates certainty, or an affiliate link no longer works.

Correction workflow

The safe workflow is: capture the issue, update or add source evidence, downgrade status if needed, route the change through approval, then publish corrected public language.

  • If evidence becomes unclear, downgrade to needs_review or a qualified status.
  • If evidence disproves the claim, reject the claim or remove the public recommendation.
  • If only affiliate data changes, keep verification status separate from affiliate status.

Public correction posture

AHP should correct visible errors promptly and avoid defensive language. Trust comes from updating the record when better evidence appears.
